A Peak District holiday that won't cost the Earth
Accommodation
Top Eccles Barn provides self-catering accommodation for 4 people.
The barn has been sympathetically converted to preserve the character of the building and to impact as little as possible on the environment. Many of the structural features have been left visible, including oak beams and stonework, complemented by welsh slate floors and British wool carpets, providing a living space of comfort and character.
The front door leads into the entrance hall with stairs to the bedrooms and storage.
Beyond the entrance is the kitchen with Belfast sink, electric cooker, microwave, fridge with icebox and dishwasher. All appliances have been chosen for their energy efficiency.
The lounge and dining room is warm and inviting and accessed through the hall. The lounge is centred around a wood pellet stove, which provides all heating and hot water. The dining area will seat six comfortably.
There is a TV, DVD, wind up radio, DVD/CD player and an ever increasing collection of books and magazines. There are stunning views from the lounge to the Goyt Valley beyond. The outdoor terrace and kitchen garden can be accessed from the lounge.
Upstairs both bedrooms are ensuite with shower, WC and basin, heated towel rail. One is a large double and one a twin. The twin can be made up as a double on request.
If you have small children a cot, high chair, fireguard and play pen are available.
Our self-catering accommodation has been thoughtfully designed to be suitable for families with children. Please note, however, that we are unable to accept pets.
