Access

Access for all

We offer a warm welcome to all guests arriving at Top Eccles Farm Eco Barn. If you have any specific needs you would like us to be aware of  please contact us before arrival.

Change over details

Our change over day is typically Saturday.  You can enter the property from 3pm. We are happy to welcome guests for short breaks outside of peak season. Leave by 10am on day of departure.

Arrival and Car Parking

If you are arriving by car we have a secure car park with space for 2 cars half way up the driveway. The barn is across the yard from the main farmhouse and we are happy for you to park outside the eco barn to unload/load. We are of course happy to assist with luggage if required. The barn has external low level external lighting which is comes on at dusk. There are also 2 low level lamps up the driveway. There is an external light for the sun terrace just inside the back door.

Public Transport

There is a train station at Whaley Bridge with services to Manchester and Buxton. Chinley has regular services to and from Manchester and Sheffield/Chesterfield. There is a regular bus service to and from Manchester airport which stops at the bottom of the lane.

Layout

The barns main living areas are on two levels, with the entrance/kitchen areas on one and up a small step the dining/lounge and access to the backdoor on another. The floor surface downstairs is riven slate.  There is one twin bedroom with an ensuite shower room, basin and WC at the top of the stairs and off the lower landing up another step to the upper landing there is a doublle room with ensuite shower, basin and WC.

• Mobile phone service is good in the barn and outside
• Wi Fi is available at no cost
• We operate a no smoking policy throughout all parts of the barn.
• Smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms are fitted throughout the barn
• Guide Dogs are welcomed.
